Finass Reisen promotes sustainable travel
As the first Swiss business travel provider, we offer our clients the possibility to purchase Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in cooperation with SWISS and the Lufthansa Group. By contributing to the use of SAF, business clients reduce their individual CO2 balance and make a contribution to the promotion of sustainable air travel.
CO2-neutral air travel thanks to SAF
Sustainable fuels are fuels that are not of fossil origin and close the carbon cycle. The switch from fossil paraffin to SAF will, in the long term, enable virtually CO2-neutral air travel. Currently, sustainable aviation fuel is mainly produced from biogenic residues, for example from used cooking oils. However, sustainable fuels are not yet available in sufficient quantities and the prices are significantly more expensive than conventional paraffin. SWISS is therefore committed to advancing the development and availability of SAF with targeted measures and cooperations. The development of new sustainable products also plays a central role here.

Sharing food instead of throwing it away
The Swiss food charity Schweizer Tafel collects perfectly edible, surplus food and distributes it free of charge to social institutions such as homeless shelters, soup kitchens, emergency shelters and other aid organisations. In this way, Schweizer Tafel provides people in need in Switzerland with direct, hands-on help. Over the last year, it distributed 17.1 tonnes of perfectly edible food every day.
